Field Safety Plan Template and Guide
The field safety plan template and guide are designed for campus use by the University of Utah Occupational and Environmental Health Services. These documents were developed through a collaborative effort put forth by OEHS, The College of Science and the College of Mines and Earth Sciences. Both the plan template and guide are comprehensive and designed to be modified to fit individual needs and most importantly, to help facilitate preparing for unfortunate and unexpected events.
Field Guide
The field guide has been written to accompany the checklist. It will help walk you through each section of the Safety Plan and present possibilities and answer questions as you develop your Field Site Safety Plan.
Field Safety Plan Template
The Safety Plan Template is the document that you would keep on site and leave a copy behind with somebody in your department's office. It should encompass details of your entire trip. If there are sections that are not applicable to the scope of your work then those sections may be marked as N/A.
